Choosing a tarpaulin kit

Pick the weight first: 50–90gsm for light camping tarpaulin use and short-term cover, 200–260gsm for trailers, log stores and covers that stay out longer. Then pick the size and colour. Each tarpaulin kit includes 10 bungee balls for quick fixing; add extra bungee balls or cord for longer edges.

Fixing with bungee balls

Push the loop through an eyelet, wrap it around the pole or frame, and hook the ball through the loop. Use one ball per eyelet on windy edges. The elastic gives slightly in gusts, which protects the eyelets from tearing.
